  • Asiana Airine has introduced its'OZ Quadra Smartium' seat on the daily Sydney-Seoul-Sydney service (OZ602 / OZ601) in 2012. Seats lie fully flat at the horizontal, with a 74 inch (just shy of 1.9 metre) length and a 15 inch pitch. The rolling refit of Asiana's Boeing 777-200ER sees the Smartiums installed in a 1-2-1 configuration, which provides each passenger with direct access to the aisle.   • British Airways Club World business class
  • BA has the best business class seats in Club World on Boeing 747 on the Bangkok-London route (BA10 / BA09). The seats are fully flat bed, in a forward-and-back pattern, with window and middle seats facing backwards, while aisle seats face forwards. This gives a real feeling of privacy, especially in the window and middle seats.
    The Club World Business Class cabin is split between the lower deck (rows 17-20) with a 2-4-2 layout; and upstairs (rows 60-64) with a more exclusive 2-2 seat configuration. In Club World the best seats are undoubtedly in the smaller, quieter upper deck cabin (rows 60-64). Every seat is either a window or an aisle, while there is markedly less noise, especially at the back of the upper deck cabin.
  • Cathay Pacific - one of the World's Best Business Class
  • Cathay Pacific has been voted World's Best Business Class in the Skytrax 2012. Cathay Pacific's new business class seats are modified from a base design by French firm Zodiac Aerospace, which markets them as a first class product. The new seat features up to 28 cm, a fully flat bed over 2 meters long, which has been introduced on Airbus A330-300 (Sydney - Hong Kong, v.v.) and Boeing 777-300ER (Hong Kong - Los Angeles, New York, London, Chicago, v.v.).
    The Business Cabin on A330-300 is divided into two cabins (11-18, 19-21). Both business class cabins sport a spacious 1-2-1 configuration. The seats nearest the windows are angled away from the aisle and towards the windows for maximum privacy. By comparison, the two centre seats are angled towards each other - although the seats recline so far back that you still get plenty of privacy. You could fly from Sydney to London and manage to ignore the other passenger all the way.

  • China Southern Airlines has introduced Sydney - Guangzhou route (CZ326 / CZ325) with new A380 service. China Southern's A380 business class features fully flat beds contained within individual pods in a 1-2-1 configuration. The main cabin offers 8 Platinum Private Suites and the upper deck features 70 flat-bed seats in First Class. Annular placement of seat with upper deck privacy creates an independent "private room".
    China Southern Airline offers very competitive business class airfares, such as companion business class round trip is about $2500 /pp (excluding taxes) from Australia to China and $3600 /pp (excluding taxes) from Australia to Europe.
  • Emirates A380 Business Class
  • Emirates A380 aircraft serves the Sydney-Dubai route (EK413 / EK412), and Melbourne-Dubai route (EK408 / EK407) daily. A complimentary limousine collection service to (from) airport is offered to Business Class passengers with very efficient check-in and great courteous.
    On the A380 there are 76 Business Class seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. One of the most notable features is the lounge at the back of the upper deck, where passengers can go for a stretch, chat and a drink. The business class seats on A380 can extend to 2 meters in length with plenty of legroom. It has a built-in mini bar and massage system. Out than on many airlines it has the best in-flight entertainment system with over 1100 channels in all, including 190 movies.
  • Japan Airlines new Business Class seats
  • Japan Airlines launch of its new business class seat, which will debut on JAL's long-distance Boeing 777-300ER flights (JL401 / JL402) on the daily Tokyo-London service from January 2013. The new business class seat is fully lie-flat bed can accommodate 1.88 meters from feet to follicles, with width varying from 65cm down to 53cm at the base. Despite a 2-3-2 layout, JAL has staggered the seats to ensure that every passenger has direct and unobstructed access to the aisle.

  • Korean Air has branded its business class product Prestige Class. "Prestige Plus Seat" maximizes the space for an individual passenger. There is more space to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable flight with panoramic. Prestige Class on Boeing 747-400 (744) of Sydney - Seoul routing (KE122 / KE121) has 2 sections with 2-3-2 seats configuration and top deck with 2-2 seats configuration, and its business class seating is angled lie-flat in grey and pale green, with a privacy cocoon and a recline angle of 170 degrees.
    Korean Air's A380 is offered on most long-haul routes, such as Seoul -Frankfurt route (KE905 / KE906); Seoul - Los Angeles route (KE17 / KE18); Seoul - New York route (KE81 / KE82).
    A380 features 94 fully flat seats in the upper deck Prestige Class. The top deck is subdivided into three sections - four rows, eight rows and four rows. The 21.6 inch wide seat with 74inch space between seats provides maximum comfort and freedom for the duration of flight. A 15 inch large LCD monitor provides a wide array of in-flight entertainment options.

  • Malaysian Airlines Business Class
  • Malaysian Airline newest A330s are most operating from Australia to Kuala Lumpur, it's a 2 two-class in a 2-2-2 configuration with Business Class at the front of the plane and Economy to the rear, the business class cabin has brand new lie-flat angled sleeper seats.
    Malaysia Airlines Boeing 747-400 (MH122 / MH123, Sydney - Kuala Lumpur route) has a total of 41 business-class seats with seat configuration 2-2 on the top deck, 2-3-2 on the lower deck.
    As of January 2013, Malaysia Airlines A380 aircrafts are used for Kuala Lumpur - London, Pairs routes (MH1 / MH2; MH3 / MH4; MH20 / MH21). The business class on its A380 has 66 fully-flat business-class seats on the upper deck into 2 cabins with a 2-2-2 formation. The forward cabin has only three rows. Each seat has a 74 inch pitch (well beyond the 58 inches on MAS' Boeing 747), fold out into a 72 inch lie-flat bed and sport a 17 inch video screen.
  • Singapore Airlines A380 New Business Class
  • Singapore Airlines Business Class on A380 featuring 60 lie-flat seats on the upper deck with 55 inches of pitch between rows. Each row contains four seats in a 1-2-1 configuration allowing every passenger direct aisle access. The A380 leather sofa-style seats are seriously roomy and as comfortable for lounging as flat-out sleeping. The window seats have deep enclosed storage bins and the wide screen is flanked by well-designed compartments. A "book the cook" service allows diners to order their main course before flying.
    Singapore Airlines A380 aircrafts are mostly operated on Sydney and Singapore route (SQ221 / SQ222; SQ231 / SQ232), Melbourne and Singapore route (SQ217 / SQ218; SQ227 / SQ228), and long-haul routes between Singapore and London, Paris.
    Singapore Airlines will also be fitting its A380-style business class seats onto the Boeing 777-200ER planes used for many long-haul destinations out of Singapore, with the upgrade due to be completed in July 2013.

    Royal silk class fully-flat beds are placed on A380 and Boeing 777-300ERs. Thai Airways currently has its Airbus A380 available on long-haul routes of Bangkok - Paris (TG930 / 931), and Bangkok - Frankfurt route (TG920 / 921). The business class cabin has 60 seats on A380 and arranged in a staggered 1-2-1 layout. Everyone has direct access to the aisle, with nobody crawling over you.
  • Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class Dream Suite
  • Virgin Atlantic's award-winning Upper Class business class on its Airbus A340-600 planes which fly daily between Sydney and London via Hong Kong, Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class bed is among the world's best business class offerings. On the A340-600, the Upper Class cabin layout is 1-1-1, with A on the left and K on the right. The middle column of seats face left for the first half of the cabin and right for the second half. There's also a standup bar at the very back of Upper Class.
    The Dream Suite is rolling out on the London-New York JFK route, as well as London-Mumbai route by early 2013.
